It is time.

Uncovering what we’re truly passionate about can take a third of a lifetime or more for some of us. I didn’t come from a racing family. I discovered my fervor for racing after being exposed to it on my own, two years ago. I’ve done everything I can to develop it; grabbing all the seat time I could get was important, but getting the right training immediately has so far been even more essential to me.

As a grown woman, I do have the advantage of having developed self-awareness. I know that I belong on the track as a professional, and I will dedicate much of my life to proving it. Respectful spectators, competitors and instructors have watched me bring my fire and reflexes to the course, and I actively work to add skills and gain resources that help me stand out.

My drive to make racing my career is coupled with an intense understanding. Female racers need to be supported: with networks, sponsorship, recognition, and with solid contracts. When I can no longer personally prove that women can match up against men in our sport, I will help other females reach the top in any way I can. I’m sharpening my skills for that day as well.

I have a singular focus and clear goals, and it’s time.
